While these products were great sellers, it soon became apparent that the mica ozone plate setup had many inherent problems.  After a year of constant failures and complaints about these units we determined that there simply had to be a better way to create ozone.

We looked at many designs and found that every design seemed to have a major flaw of one type or another.

This is when we began researching patents for ozone production. We then found one design that seemed to be superior than all others. We then bought the rights to it and began production of our now world famous line of ozone generators.

These ozone dealers get dirt cheap prices from their manufacturer, and mark the machines up to where they can still get a great profit.

Competitors use off the rack, open iron core transformers. The exposed iron can quickly rust and deteriorate. These types of transformers are not specifically designed for use in an ozone generator, and have a hard time maintaining a long life span in an ozone environment.

Instead of properly adding additional power transformers as Air-Zone® does, they take the cheap route and simply add more mica ozone plates. This now compounds the problems of the mica ozone plate system.

Now these middlemen dealers make even a higher percentage of profit off of the consumer on a more expensive machine.

Be sure to avoid those ozone generators that are "easily and inexpensively upgraded" 
by the addition of more ozone "plates".

The truth is that they use only ONE transformer and are more likely to blow out than machines like our units with MULTIPLE transformers. 

Simply adding ozone plates to increase the ozone output puts a dangerous extra load on the power transformers. 

This fact is made very clear that by adding 2 ozone plates to a one plate 1000 mg/hr ozone generator that the total ozone output is only 2600 mg/hr and NOT the 3000 mg/hr it should be.

If the transformer was properly sized the ozone output would equal 3000 mg/hr, but that fact that the resulting output is only 2600 mg/hr is absolute indisputable evidence that the transformer is improperly sized, especially to upgrade the ozone output.

Since the 3000 mg.hr ozone output was NOT achieved, it can only be concluded that the missing 400 mg/hr of ozone was lost because the transformer was not able to handle the extra load of the extra ozone plates.

The extra load on the transformer causes it to get very hot, and it is now prone to completely blow out.

Note that some 1000 mg/hr ozone generators try to add up to four extra ozone "plates" but that the total ozone output ONLY reaches the 3600 mg/hr level, NOT the expected 5000 mg/hr.

Now think about that these multiple ozone plates MUST always be in constant alignment to work properly and avoid shorting out.  So they add more mica plates, and thus more chance of failure, AND increase the load on the transformer!  That is taking a bad situation and making it worse.  Except for their profits of course.

Trying to double or triple the power of an ozone generator by simply adding more ozone plates is a cheap, unsafe, and not very reliable way of trying to increase the ozone output.

Air-Zone® ONLY increases ozone outputs by adding extra ozone elements, AND by properly adding extra power transformers. 

That's why our models with higher ozone output have EVEN ozone output numbers like 2000, 4000, or 6000 mg.hr instead of an erratically designed unit that outputs 1000, 2600, 3400, or 3600 mg/hr. 

Our XT-2000 features a single transformer. Our XT-4000 has 2 power transformers, and our XT-6000 unit has 3 power transformers in it to properly balance the electrical load.

ONLY a poorly designed ozone generator would try to increase the ozone output by simply adding extra ozone plates and not by adding the proper amount of transformers.

Beware of "upgradable output" ozone generators. 
They won't last, and are prone to fail simply by the nature of their design as the loss of ozone power when mica plates are added, clearly shows.

Be sure and buy a long lasting, properly designed ozone generator like an Air-Zone®.
