Stachybotrys Chartarum  (Toxic Black Mold) is a greenish black fungus found worldwide.  It colonizes in most building materials including, dry wall, carpeting, wall paper, fiber board, ceiling tiles, and thermal insulation.  The fungus can be wet and slimy to the touch.
